With federal stimulus funds, Green Impact Zone partners are making the zone more energy efficient with SmartGrid technology; improving streets, sidewalks and curbs; adding and upgrading transit services; weatherizing homes; bringing new businesses to the area; offering low-interest loans; and much more. You can be a part of this exciting initiative.
Our workshops will cover every phase of the homebuying process:

- Learn what you should look for as you shop for a home.
- Connect with Realtors who know the area.
- Find the right financing:
- Meet with organizations that can provide down payment and closing cost assistance.
- Find a lender who offers low-interest-rate loans.
- Get ready to move in:
- Learn what's involved in rehabbing an older home.
- Make that new home energy efficient and save on utility costs.
